Ginette Grunder Rouzeau is a professional artist who is an active member of the Nature Printing Society and her work has been premiered at California’s Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. |

Born in Haiti to a cosmopolitan family whose lineage includes French, Haitian, Cuban and Swiss forebears, Ginette Grunder's love of nature was fostered and later nurtured by her family, especially by her mother and an aunt who was a writer and an ardent conservation ist. At age 15 she started to paint and exhibited at the Centre d'Art of Haiti and in the Caribbean and South America . She later went to New York where she studied fine art at the Art Student's League. She participated in several group shows and held a one woman show at the Alliance Francaise “At Spring Time” After the death of her husband she brought her family to Miami , where she found the tropical nature so indispensable to her art. She pursues her vocation as an artist experimenting with innovative techniques such as multiple transparent layers, fantasy transformations and direct printing with materials from nature, which she has developed into a unique art form that communicates her feelings about tropical nature. |

Ginette teaches decorative art for the North Miami Department of Parks and Recreation, sharing her knowledge with her many students. Through art her own life has been enriched as well as that of those she has helped to discover their hidden talents. All Prints $49 All Image Size: 20.25”x18” |
